Visiting Puerto Rico

Being a US territory, getting into Puerto Rico does not require a visa or passport, as long as you are a registered American citizen, you can freely go to and from Puerto Rico as you please. Considering Puerto Rico is a Us territory, that also means the currency is the same in both places, so Puerto Rico uses the US dollar, so you don’t have to exchange any currency or go through any complications.

A flight to Puerto Rico is pretty cheap it seemed, well right now at least during all this chaos, but I found a round trip to San Juan from Atlanta flying spirit airlines for a total of 129 US dollars. The hotel I was able to find is in San Juan and would be for a five-night stay from October 22nd through October 27th for only 150 dollars!  The hotel is 9 out of 10 rated and has two rooms with one full bathroom, a view of the city of San Juan and is close to a lot of the exciting things you can do in San Juan.

In San Juan, there are so many fun and exciting things to do an see, some of the things they offer are, getting a tour of the city of San Juan passing by some of the landmarks along the way for only 41 dollars. You can also go on a hiking adventure through the more rural pat of San Juan with a natural swimming area for only 76 dollars. As well as taking dancing classes to learn the cultural dances of the country, and going on mini food tour, trying the most famous and best foods San Juan has to offer for 110 dollars. Majority of the things you would want to do in this part of the island are reasonably priced.

Places of interest in San Juan are the San Juan Cathedral, this historic landmark is one of the oldest cathedrals, and the oldest building in San Juan. Another place, less my speed but still interesting,  is the San Juan cemetery, this cemetery shows the elaborate grave stones, beautiful ocean view, as well as a piece of history that is often overlooked.
